Where tide pools meet the studio.
Each pair begins on the ocean floor — or close to it. The dapped brass discs are etched by hand using a saltwater process, pulling organic, labyrinthine patterns from the metal's surface in a direct echo of brain coral. A liver of sulphur patina deepens the brass to a warm, shadowed bronze, anchoring the earring's palette in the intertidal zone.
Set against that textured ground, a pair of Chinese writing stones — named for the ancient-script-like markings fossilised within — are prong-held by hand-formed 20-gauge sterling silver wire, which wraps the disc to cradle each stone in place. No glue. No bezels. Just metalwork.
The ear wires are 20-gauge titanium: hypoallergenic, lightweight, and dramatically elongated with a rectilinear flat top engineered for all-day comfort in the lobe.
Only three pairs exist. Once gone, this design retires.
