Work Made for You

WEB takes on a limited number of commissions each year — both jewellery and paintings. Commissions are selective by nature: we accept projects that align with the studio’s current practice and aesthetic, and that give us genuine creative latitude to do our best work.

Commissions belong to WEB’s wider studio practice and are arranged separately from purchases through this store. This shop focuses on production jewellery, apparel, prints, embellished prints, and other higher-volume items. You’re welcome to use the Contact page to begin a commission enquiry.

What We Can Make

Jewellery commissions span the full range of the studio’s practice — forged copper and brass, enamel work, gemstone settings, beadwork, and patinated metal. Custom pieces can be designed for a specific occasion, material preference, or wearable intention.

Painting commissions are available for collectors interested in original abstract expressionist work. Substrate is flexible — canvas, panel, or a found or antique object you provide or source together. Scale, palette, and thematic direction are discussed collaboratively.

The Process

1. Enquiry — Use the Contact page to reach out. Tell us what you have in mind: the piece type, your preferred scale or size, any colour references, your timeline, and your budget range.
2. Consultation — We’ll follow up to discuss feasibility, creative direction, and materials. This may happen over email or a brief call.
3. Proposal & Deposit — Once we’ve agreed on scope, we’ll send a formal proposal. A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required to begin work.
4. Production — We’ll keep you updated through the process with progress notes and, where appropriate, photographs.
5. Final Payment & Delivery — The remaining balance is due before shipping or collection. All commission pieces are signed and include a certificate of authenticity.

Timelines

Jewellery commissions typically take 4–10 weeks from deposit to delivery. Painting commissions vary by scale and complexity — typically 6–16 weeks. Rush timelines are not available.

Purchase of a commissioned work does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights. No work may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission from the artist.

Please Note

All commission pieces are final sale. WEB retains the right to document and share commissioned work for portfolio and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.
