Cipher Earrings

18g copper discs, saltwater etched to draw a fine, irregular surface language from the metal, suspended above 18g hammer-textured brass rectangles with piercings finished in liver of sulphur. Argentium silver connections and findings throughout. The etched copper and oxidised brass read as two surfaces from the same archaeological vocabulary — marked, worn, and deliberate.
