Ceto Necklace

Ceto is a modular statement necklace in three separable, interchangeable components — each complete on its own, transformative in combination. A fine silver decorative tab with bezel-set moss agate (approx. 19 × 44 × 8mm) sits above a saltwater-etched 18g brass plate, its surface carrying the memory of process. Below, a 20g brass hollow-form sphere finished in black powder coat, selectively worked with a ball bur to lift away the coat and reveal the brass beneath — an effect that echoes keum-boo, gold emerging from dark ground. The components are joined by sterling silver connections and suspended from a handmade sterling silver paperclip chain (approx. 20") with gold-filled accents throughout.

Worn together, Ceto reads as a layered geological narrative — agate, etched metal, oxidised sphere. Worn apart, each piece holds its own presence. The bezel tab alone becomes a pendant; the hollow-form becomes a bold drop. The chain works independently as a refined everyday piece.

Moss agate varies naturally in pattern and colour — inclusions of ochre, grey, and white shift with the light. Each piece of this stone is its own landscape.
